Review: "As you were" (Project Five Fifteen #2) by Samantha Summers

Synopsis:
For every choice, there is a consequence.

Ronnie and Kalen are finally together, living their life in secret under the radar of the people who want Kalen dead. But when a visit from an old friend sends Kalen away on a rescue mission, Ronnie finds herself plunged back into the world of Project Five Fifteen quicker than she ever thought possible.

It’s fast becoming clear The Agency will never give up their hunt for the boys, and a betrayal closer to home starts a chain reaction that will change everything. Now, caught in a deadly web of lies and deceit, Ronnie is forced to question who she can trust; even the person she once trusted most.

As enemies close in, Kalen’s past threatens to destroy the happiness they sacrificed so much for, and it’s only a matter of time before the ultimate choice must be made…

My review:
This is the second book in Project Five Fifteen trilogy by Samantha Summers.
In this book we find out more about the characters, and we see how Ronnie is forced to leave her home and to follow Kalen and his group when their life is threaten. I was so happy to observe how close Ace and Ronnie get, especially after Ace turned out to be such a sweet boy. Totally love him! The story becomes more and more intense, until you wonder if you can resist the tension. It was amazing!

Ronnie and Kalen have great chemistry and I truly loved to see them together. They travel now in different countries, always watching behind their back for the danger. There are times when they need to split up to stay safe, but not even distance can break them up. Watching Kalen taking care of Ronnie is so sweet and it warms my heart. They have such a normal, realistic relationship!

My dear boys are running again, only this time are accompanied by Ronnie. They need to separate to not be discovered, but things between them are changing bit by bit. After all, one thing is certain: the enemy is strong and will do anything to make the boys to turn against each other. Are they capable to remain together until the end?

Also the flashbacks involving the boys' past were so precious. It was good to finally understand what they've been through, how they were trained and being able to see behind their character. This process gives a perspective of their relations, why are so close and why they protect each other. Pure gold!

It was heart breaking to finish this book and not being able to read the last one! At the end my eyes were swollen, because I cried a lot and I was so sad. I invested so much in these characters and the story and I couldn't believe what was happening. A great turn-over of events! You need to read it!

I recommend this book to all of you, since I absolutely loved the plot and the story line in this series!

About Samantha Summers:
Born in London, an only child with an overactive imagination, Sam spent much of her childhood telling ghost stories to her younger cousins and dreaming about far away places. She graduated university with a BA in marketing, but it wasn't long before her passion for storytelling and travel got the better of her. She currently lives in Sydney, Australia, where you'll probably find her hidden away in the corner of a park somewhere - writing, reading, dreaming or watching movies on her iPad. She loves everything spy and assassin and has a slightly unhealthy obsession with Star Wars, mainly Darth Vader.
