Blog Tour Review & Giveaway: "Porcelain Keys" by Sarah Beard

Synopsis (Goodreads):
Aria's life is full of secrets--secrets about her mother's death, her father's cruelty, and her dream to go to Juilliard. When Aria meets Thomas, he draws out her secrets, captures her heart, and gives her the courage to defy her father. But when tragedy strikes and Thomas disappears, Aria is left alone to transform her broken heart's melody into something beautiful. Porcelain Keys is a captivating love story that will resonate long after the last page is turned.

My Review:
Aria Kinsley is in a very dark place since her mother died. Her only wish is to leave her home, to be as far as she can from her dad and to create a life of her own. At the beginning of the book she is too scared to confront his father and to fight for her dreams, but her development throughout the book is amazing to watch. She soon becomes confident, though and capable to accept her destiny, a real example for me.

Thomas Ashby is the person who encourages and takes care of her once he finds out about the aggression of her father and they become very close. However, after a tragic accident he feels the need to leave and in the process he leaves Aria. Now she needs to get used to be alone all over again, while she stays in her piano teacher's house to get prepared for Juilliard. As we all know life is not fair, because Thomas comes back in the worst moment, forcing her to remember all that she's been through and to reconsider her decisions.

This story was a great experience and I loved it entirely. It melted my heart, gave me thrills and made my soul dance to the beat of the songs, while I wanted to read more and more and more. I'm so excited that I started this year with such an incredible book and I hope all the books that I'll read to surprise me the same.

The characters were great built and believable and I was curious to find out more about them. My favorites were Aria, Nathaniel and Vivian and I think their conversations added more flavor. The musicality aspect of the story was filled with beautiful writing, making it original and attractive. The theme of forgiveness had an important part of Aria's life and a valuable quality to possess. Also, I encountered many twists and turns thrown into the book, a big plus from my point of view.

For all of you who are not convinced to read it yet, I have to say that I totally recommend this book, hoping that you'll also enjoy every minute and every word of "Porcelain Keys"!!!

Note: I received an ARC for an honest review.
